In a country as diverse as India, children are often taught to use just one standard skin colour while colouring, unintentionally reinforcing stereotypes from a young age.
To challenge this, a special initiative introduced crayon boxes with ten diverse skin tones, along with a colouring book that encouraged kids to choose shades that matched their own. These were rolled out in drawing classes where children coloured popular character Chota Bheem. This fun, engaging activity helped young minds appreciate and celebrate skin tone diversity—planting seeds of inclusivity early in life.
